The CSKA press service commented on the information that Minnesota striker Kirill Kaprizov may return to the Moscow club.
Earlier, journalist Frank Seravalli said that the Russian had entered into a preliminary agreement with the army team. It will take effect on September 1 and will be activated if the hockey player does not agree with Minnesota on a new contract. The contract is for one year and includes an eight-digit amount.
– John Gilmore, who flew to the capital of Belarus the day before, became the last player to join the team at the training camp. Also, a number of young hockey players from Zvezda and Red Army are involved with the army team, including Prokhor Poltapov, Kirill Goloshchapov, Takhir Mingachev, Nikita Rtischev, Lev Komissarov, Matvey Guskov and many others.
CSKA under the guidance of Sergei Fedorov trains twice a day, not only on the ice, but also in the gym and on the football field.
As for information about Kirill Kaprizov, CSKA will be glad if the striker continues his career in our club. But it all depends on the position of Kirill and his willingness to negotiate a return to the army team, – said the press service of CSKA.
The 2020/21 season was Kaprizov’s debut in the NHL. He has 51 points (27 goals, 24 assists) in 55 regular season games. 24-year-old Kirill also won the Calder Trophy – the prize for the best rookie of the season.
The forward played for CSKA from 2017 to 2020.
