Died the champion of Europe on football in the USSR team

Former footballer Moscow “Spartak” and national team of the USSR Anatoly Krutikov passed away at 86 years old. This was reported on the website of the Russian football Union (RFU).

The RFU expressed its condolences to the families of the athlete.

Krutikov played for red-and-white from 1959 to 1969. In the team, he became the USSR champion and two-time winner of the Cup of the country. In 1960, with the USSR national team the defender won the European championship.

After retiring as a player Krutikov one season has headed “Spartak”. Under his leadership the team only once in history has been relegated to the championship.
