FIBA suspended the judges of the match France – Lithuania in the world Cup



TASS, 8 Sep. The international basketball Federation (FIBA) has suspended referee team serving the second match of the group stage of the world Cup qualifier between France and Lithuania. About it reports a press-service of the FIBA.

The match France – Lithuania (78:75) was held on Saturday. In the end Lithuania won the right to two free throws, the second of which the goal is not reached: the French player touched the ring when the ball teetered on the bow. Later, Lithuania submitted an official protest to FIBA about the referees mistakes that influenced the outcome of the meeting. After the game FIBA watched the episode and admitted that the violation of the rules in that episode was, removing referees from working at the world Cup.

In the next round, the French will play with Australians, Lithuanian basketball players will meet with athletes from the Dominican Republic, both meetings will be held on September 9. The world Cup will end on September 15.
