Russian goalkeeper Washington capitals Ilya Samsonov will miss the upcoming draw of the Stanley Cup because of injury, reports the journalist of “the Washington Post” Samantha Pell.
The goalkeeper will not travel to Toronto for the play-offs and will continue treatment in Washington.
It is reported that the goalkeeper was injured before the resumption of training process and needs to recover for the start of the season 2020/2021.
Recall that the qualifications of the Stanley Cup kicks off on August 1.
“Washington” will play with “Boston”, “Tampa” and “Philadelphia” in the round Robin tournament to determine the order of seeding in the first round.
