Journalist Frank Seravalli said on Twitter that forward Kirill Kaprizov has a preliminary agreement with CSKA, which will take effect on September 1.
The contract is for one year and includes an 8-digit amount. It is activated if the hockey player does not agree with Minnesota on a new agreement.
According to Seravalli, Wilde previously offered Kaprizov 7-year and 8-year contracts. However, in the camp of the Russian, they claim that they have not received any offers since April. Nevertheless, now “Minnesota” is ready to discuss with Kaprizov a medium-term deal, the parties remain in touch.
Initial hang-up was MIN was only interested in a 7 or 8-year deal for the Calder Trophy winner. That’s not the case. Bunch of options in term.
But the Kaprizov camp contends there has been no offer made since April.
We’ll see where this goes, two sides remain in communication.
