Ovechkin is power! Has already scored 740 career goals and pushed two more NHL legends

For the next regular season match of the NHL, the Washington Capitals came to visit Florida. The Panthers are in great shape, in the last match they suffered only their first defeat of the season against Boston, and even then – in a shootout.

Sergei Bobrovsky started the match with the “capital” guests at the Florida goal, showing a great start to the season, but the Russian played only 20 minutes. After the first period, he was replaced by a young Spencer Knight due to an upper body injury.

and Washington woke up. The 740th goal of the captain of the “capital” in the NHL and the 10th this season turned out like this.

Tom Wilson scored 17 seconds before the siren for the second break, cutting the gap to a minimum. The Canadian corrected Carlson’s shot, which, in turn, was passed by Ovechkin.

The third period, “Washington” began with a full desire to recoup, and already in the 47th minute, this desire was realized. And again, it was not without Ovechkin! Alexander dragged the puck into a foreign zone, tried to sharpen the puck from behind the goal, the projectile soared into the air, but the Capitals forward Connor McMichael, who scored his first goal in the NHL career, noticed him first.

Ovechkin scored the third point in the match, now he has 18 (10 + 8) points this season – this is the third result in the league after McDavid and Dreiseitl. During his career, Alexander’s indicator is now equal to 1338 (740 + 598) points. Today, Ovi has pulled away from Mike Gartner in the list of all-time goalscorers, and also pressed two NHL legends Denis Savar and Dave Andreychuk, entering the top 30 most productive hockey players in NHL history.

It was not possible to strengthen this achievement or catch up on goals by Hall Ovechkin that evening. But until the fourth place in the dispute between snipers, there is only one puck! As for Washington, the capitals failed to complete their comeback. With the score 4: 4, the match went into overtime, where Luostarinen brought the victory to the Panthers.
