Povetkin will not submit a claim to the Wilder on the protection of honor and dignity

MOSCOW, September 20. /TASS/. The head of the promotion company “World of Boxing” Andrey Ryabinsky and boxer Alexander Povetkin do not plan to file a lawsuit on protection of honor and dignity to the American Deontay Wilder. This Rabinski said.

In April 2018, the Federal district court for the southern district of new York denied the Wilder side of all the requirements, and side, Povetkin was awarded $4.3 million funds frozen in the account after the cancellation of the fight between Russian and American in may 2016.

“We won the case in Wilder, money, however, has not yet received. The lawsuit on protection of honor and dignity? We cooled down,” said Rabinsky.

Also Rabinsky was planning to sue to the team of Wilder on the protection of honor and dignity. Povetkin and “World of Boxing” plans to require Americans payments of $34.5 million, this amount has been included moral and reputational damage to the Russian boxer, and the losses from the fact that the duel did not take place.

It was planned that the fight Povetkin and Wilder will be held in Moscow on 21 may 2016. The fight was cancelled since in April in Povetkin’s body found traces of a banned substance Meldonium. Wilder and promotional company DiBella Entertainment Inc publicly accused the Russians of doping and breach of contract. 13 June 2016, they filed a lawsuit in new York against Povetkin for $5 million.
