Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman reacted to striker Lionel Messi’s departure from the club.
– It’s normal that everyone has a hard time when a player like Messi leaves. We have to move on because we cannot change the situation. We need to play well, win and work harder. There are other players who can play in his position and play an important role in the team. The best player in the world will always be missed, but you have to come to terms with it and get to work. It makes no sense to dwell on the past, – said Koeman.
The 34-year-old Messi’s deal with Barcelona expired on June 30. On August 5, the press service of the Catalans issued an official statement that the Argentinean would not renew the contract.
