TASS, 1 July. The Russian power forward Andrey Vorontsevich left the capital basketball club CSKA. About it reports a press-service of the team.

Andrew remains one of the strongest Russian players, it gets cold thirst for combat and a love for the game with CSKA, he has to settle for the role of a reservist, because we let go Vorontsevich with huge gratitude for all joint victory and with the confidence that he has not said the last word in the big basketball, that after the shock of the season he will be invaluable to help the national team in the Olympic qualification”.

32-year-old Vorontsevich, in turn, thanked the club and fans, and stated that he was proud of the fact that 14 years defended the colors of CSKA.
Vorontsevich is the champion CSKA in the number of matches, on account of his 696 meetings. He played for the club since 2006, was a three-time Euroleague champion and nine-time winner of VTB United League. Vorontsevich 13-time champion Russia, which is a record 13 League titles in Viktor Khryapa. In the last season of VTB United League, which was completed ahead of schedule because of the pandemic, Vorontsevich participated in 15 games in which he averaged 6.6 points, 3.2 rebounds making.
In the Euroleague, the Russian has played 274 of the match, this is the 12th figure in the history of the tournament. He ranks third in the history of the capital team in total points (4169) and second in rebounds (2416). In the national team he won a bronze medal at the European championship 2011.
