TASS, June 24. Head coach of Turkish basketball club Fenerbahce Zeljko Obradovic resigned from his post. About it reports a press-service of the team.

“Last week, Zeljko Obradovic met with the President of fenerbahçe Ali Cochem to discuss plans for next season. Specialist decided to go home and take a final decision after talking with his family. Unfortunately, the coach told the leadership that will not continue. Zeljko Obradovic is a legend for Fenerbahce, their achievements, he gave us happiness and will forever remain a part of our family,” – said in a statement the club.

Obradović was the head of Fenerbahce in 2013. Together with the team he has thrice won the championship of Turkey and once led the club to the main trophy of the Euroleague. Specialist also previously headed the Serbian “Partizan”, the Spanish “Joventut” and “real”, Italian “Benetton”, the Greek “Panathinaikos”, and also prefabricated of Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro.

Total assets of the 60-year-old Obradovic nine wins in the Euroleague. Three times he was named coach of the tournament. With the national team of Yugoslavia specialist won a silver medal of Olympics 1996 gold medals of the European championship 1997 and 1998 world Championships and won bronze at the continental Championships 1999.
