Zanardi remains in serious but stable condition after surgery


The former pilot “Formulas-1” and Paralympic champion Alessandro Zanardi remains in a serious condition in the hospital of Siena.

Earlier it was reported that the accident Zanardi received a severe traumatic brain injury and may lose vision.

Zanardi competed in the “Formula 1” racing series, CART. In 2001, the race in Germany, he suffered serious injuries, doctors were forced to amputate both his legs. Some time later, the Italian returned to racing and took up Cycling with manual control, winning four gold Paralympic games.
